Maker’s Story
This pen began its journey thousands of miles away in Indonesia, where the curly maple was carefully selected for its dramatic grain and deep colour. After being imported into the UK, the wood was kiln-dried and stabilised with resin to ensure it would remain stable and durable for generations.
The rich black tones of the maple paired perfectly with the Tudor-inspired brass fittings, whose ornate detailing echoes the decorative craftsmanship of historic England. The result is a pen that feels both historic and contemporary — a modern writing instrument with the soul of something far older.
 
Each pen is individually turned and polished by hand, meaning no two pieces of curly maple will ever be quite the same.
