The Prontus is slightly lighter and smaller than the Medula but still has similar banding and filigree. The polished metal work adequately shows off the curves and features of the pen. It is still as high quality as the Medula and retains the writing prowess of a status pen.
 
I've been trying to track down exactly what type of would this is but not quit found it yet. Found it... its Tiger wood AKA GONCALO ALVES
