Emerald Paw is a striking dog-themed handmade rollerball, combining an incredibly vibrant green, blue and purple swirl with a tremendous depth and shine. The colours seem to move beneath the polished surface, changing character as the light catches them.
The dog theme is carried through into the beautiful paw-print detailing on the chrome fittings, giving the pen plenty of personality without making it feel gimmicky. The result is a pen that is both a serious writing instrument and a little celebration of our four-legged friends.

Is this the exact pen I will receive?
Yes. This is a handmade, one-of-a-kind pen and the photographs show the actual pen you will receive. The swirling colours and pattern cannot be reproduced exactly, making your pen genuinely unique.
Can the refillable rollerball use bottled ink?
No. This rollerball uses a replaceable rollerball refill rather than bottled fountain-pen ink. When the refill eventually runs dry, it can simply be replaced with a compatible rollerball refill.
Is this suitable as a gift?
Absolutely. The combination of the vibrant colours, beautiful shine and dog-themed detailing makes this a particularly memorable gift for a dog lover. It is supplied ready to use and makes something a little more personal than an ordinary off-the-shelf pen.
Maker's Story
I love making pens that have a story or a little bit of personality about them, and Emerald Paw certainly has both.
The first thing that grabbed me about this material was the colour. The green is wonderfully rich, but then the blue and purple appear within it, creating movement and depth that really comes alive once the blank has been turned, polished and brought to a serious shine.
Then there are those paw prints.
I couldn't resist pairing such a lively blank with dog-themed fittings. The finished result is playful without losing the quality and presence I want from every pen I make.
As with all my handmade pens, I make this individually rather than producing identical batches. You aren't just buying a pen — you're getting the particular combination of colour, pattern and character that happened to emerge in this one.
And honestly, I think this one has a little bit of woof! about it. 🐾
