This poor soul was turning beautifully on the lathe — spinning like a dream — until, with a dramatic crack, a chunk flew off like a diva exiting stage left. Most makers would have sighed, binned it, and moved on.
 
But not me.
 
I gave it a long, slightly disappointed look and thought, “You know what? Let’s make this work.”
A bit of bold blue acrylic. A bit of hope. And a whole lot of sanding later… The Misfit was reborn.
It’s part marbled masterpiece, part patchwork experiment, and all heart. Think of it as the pen equivalent of that one mate who turns up to dinner in mismatched socks and still somehow pulls it off.
