Maker's Story
When I first turned this blank, the flowing bands of blue and teal immediately reminded me of movement and freedom. The colours seemed to shift and run through the material much like a horse crossing open countryside, changing appearance with every turn of the pen.
Rather than polishing it to a mirror shine, I chose a satin finish that better suited the character of the material. The softer surface reveals the depth of the colours while giving the pen a more natural, organic appearance. Combined with the detailed horse-themed fittings, the result is a fountain pen that celebrates the elegance, strength, and spirit of the horse in a refined and understated way.
