Maker's Story
Every pen I make starts life as a collection of materials and ends up as something that is completely individual.
With The Britannia Swirl, the real challenge is letting the resin do the talking. The red, white and blue colours create their own patterns as the blank is turned on the lathe, so I never know exactly what will appear as I work my way through it.
I then turn, shape, sand and polish the blank by hand before assembling it with the Imperial components.
That's what I love about making pens. I can start with the same material as another pen, but by the time I've finished, I've created something that simply cannot be replicated.
