What makes this pen special
Azure Veinstone is a striking handmade rollerball that captures the look of polished stone without the weight or fragility of the real thing. The vivid blue body is crossed by fine silver veining with subtle blush-pink highlights, creating the impression of mineral seams running through a piece of sky-coloured rock. Paired with the dark gunmetal trim of the Mystic rollerball, the result is bold, modern, and surprisingly elegant.
Who this pen is for
Writers and professionals who want something that stands out from ordinary black-and-silver pens, gift buyers looking for a one-off handmade piece, and collectors who enjoy stone-inspired materials and visible natural-style patterning.
Why choose a rollerball pen?
A rollerball gives a smooth, fluid writing experience with less pressure than a typical ballpoint. The ink lays down richly, making everyday notes, journalling, signatures, and longer writing sessions feel effortless while keeping the convenience of a capped pen.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is the stone real?
No. It is a faux-stone resin designed to mimic the depth, veining, and visual character of polished mineral material while remaining comfortable and practical for everyday use.
Will my pen look exactly like the photos?
The overall colour palette and style will be the same, but the veining pattern and pink accents are unique to each turned blank.
Is it suitable as a gift?
Yes. The combination of handmade craftsmanship, distinctive material, and rollerball practicality makes it an easy gift for writers, professionals, and pen enthusiasts.
Maker’s Story
This was one of those materials that makes a pen maker slightly nervous. Faux-stone blanks can look spectacular, but they do not always behave kindly: drilling can start a crack, and aggressive turning can chip an edge before the shape is finished. The first few passes are done with more concentration than confidence.
After a lot of testing, I changed the way I turn this material — lighter cuts, sharper tooling, and a sequence that supports the blank more consistently through the process. The difference has been dramatic. The material stays cleaner, the risk of chipping is reduced, and the finished pen keeps more of that crisp, stone-like character that made me want to try it in the first place. Azure Veinstone is the result of that learning curve: a pen that still feels exciting to make, but no longer feels like a gamble every time it goes on the lathe.
