Maker’s Story
Some pens demand patience.
Imperial Dusk was shaped slowly and deliberately, with particular attention given to the finishing process. Achieving the depth and clarity of this pen’s surface required repeated, careful polishing stages—each one refining the gloss further, until the material took on its distinctive glass-like shine.
This isn’t a finish that can be rushed. It’s the result of stopping at the right moments, returning to the surface again and again, and knowing when the pen has finally reached its best possible form. The reward is a depth of polish that allows the colours to glow from within rather than simply sit on the surface.
 
As with all my work, Imperial Dusk was made entirely by hand, allowing the character of the material to guide the final result. The pen you see is not just shaped—it is revealed.
