Description
The Teak Voyager captures the spirit of classic travel and timeless craftsmanship. Crafted from richly patterned Teak Burr, the pen displays warm honey and caramel tones with intricate natural grain that flows along the body like the lines of an old nautical chart. Paired with antique-style brass fittings and a gently tapered retro profile, the pen feels both substantial and elegant in the hand.
Teak has long been prized for its durability and beauty, traditionally used in shipbuilding and fine furniture. In this pen it reveals its more artistic side, with swirling burr figure that catches the light and highlights the depth of the wood.
The result is a pen that feels like it belongs on a writer’s desk beside a leather journal and a well-travelled map — a timeless instrument made to be used and appreciated every day.
Maker’s Story
This pen began as a striking piece of Teak Burr, a wood known not just for strength but for its incredible natural figure. Burr timber is unpredictable and full of hidden character, and as the blank was turned on the lathe, the swirling grain slowly revealed itself.
The warm tones of the teak paired perfectly with the retro brass hardware, creating a pen that feels reminiscent of classic writing instruments from a bygone era. Careful sanding and polishing brought out the depth and shimmer within the wood, allowing the natural pattern to take centre stage.
Every pass on the lathe uncovered another detail in the grain, transforming the raw timber into a pen that celebrates the natural beauty of teak.
